Celebrated world-wide for his modern romantic jewels that push the boundaries of contemporary design, Simon Muris began his career as the first apprentice, training on the bench of International Jeweller, John Donald in Cheapside, London. This grounding enabled him to break entrenched traditions, play with conventions and bring a fresh dynamic spirit to exquisitely crafted, fine jewellery. Whilst working as a goldsmith Muris was head-hunted in 1976 and moved to Vancouver, Canada to set up a new workshop for an exclusive up- coming creative jewellers, “Goldcraft “ then given the accolade to design his first 121 piece Jewellery collection in his own right named “The Natural Things, and Life Under a Microscope”, creating provocative catwalk jewels that have become iconic milestones in the art of couture jewellery. Where the award-winning necklace was launched named “Timeless Motion”, diamonds floating in suspended animation. This high profile collaboration with fashion houses acted as a catalyst to Muris’s burgeoning desire to blend technical perfection with creative freedom, and in 1977 returned to the UK , where he set up and launched his first Studio Workshop, creating “His” own individual Style of Modern Classical Jewellery and Objet d’Art.

Since then, Muris has been responsible for creating a new genre of jewellery; precious poetic, with a sense of eternity, yet relevant to today’s world. The powerful, emotive and often poignant beauty of Simon Muris jewellery is underlined with sentiment, stories and meaning, tapping into history and heritage of jewellery.

Alongside his award-winning collections, Simon Muris has worked on one-of-a-kind projects and collaborations with amongst others, Gerald Genta Internationally famed Swiss master designer and watchmaker. His work has been displayed in renowned galleries, and exhibitions around the world.
